Welcome to FlashSpec!

FlashSpec is a two-volume anthology series, showcasing short, speculative fiction from around the world. With flash fiction, in many cases less can be more, and that is certainly its challenge. Stories that say the most with the least amount of words, especially those with an unexpected conclusion, are the essence of the FlashSpec project.

Issued in two volumes, the collections were edited by Western Australian author Neil Cladingboel, and published by Equilibrium Books as high quality, perfect bound softcover books. The much anticipated Volume One was released in July 2006. Volume Two submissions closed on 31st May 2007 and the book was officially released on July 2nd, 2007. Both volumes are still available for purchase through Equilibrium Books.
